New York, NY – The Hunter Hawks men's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 sweep of John Jay College on Tuesday night in the CUNYAC Quarter-finals.

The Hawks posted scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-16 en route to victory.

All three Hawk seniors that were honored in a pre-game ceremony, contributed to the victory. Matthew Ng smashed nine kills and eight digs to go along with a.500 hitting percentage. Stanley Martinez dished out 21 assists; he also had six kills, 10 digs and seven blocks. Eric Lodde had one kill and five digs.

Alexandru Barbulescu smashed six kills to go along with five blocks and Steven Tarquinio had four kills and six blocks.

The Bloodhounds were led by Jack Palleschi's 10 kills. Nicholas Anderson had 21 assists. 

The Hawks move on to the semi-finals against York College at 4pm Friday afternoon. The CUNYAC Championships are being held in the ARC Arena at Baruch College. FREE tickets can be downloaded at cunyathletics.com/tickets
