EWING, NJ -,The Hunter wrestling team went 1-2 at the Metro/New England Duals on Saturday afternoon putting their dual record at 11-9 on the season.
The Hawks put in some outstanding individual effort in the duals with Stephen Drew, Cary Palmer, Jesse Bader and Patryk Kopczynski going undefeated (3-0) in their matchups.
Drew started off winning two decisions, then overwhelmed his third opponent pinning him at 1:49.,
Palmer's impressive first season as a Hawks continued as he won all three matchups by major decision, improving his record this season to 25-2.
Bader started off with two tough decisions, winning both 3-2 and then responded by earning a technical fall in his final matchup.
Kopczynski started off with two pins in his first two matchups, then won the third decisively via a 12-4 major decision victory.
The Hawks return to action Saturday February 7 when they will particiapte in the Messiah Open.
