BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2 NEW YORK, NY -,The Hunter men's volleyball team swept both their matches against John Jay and Medgar Evers in a Saturday afternoon CUNYAC multi-match. The Hawks improve their record to 5-5 overall and 2-0 in CUNYAC play.

Hunter 3 John Jay 0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-22)

The Hawks dominated the match right from the start. In their first set victory, the Hawks attack tallied 10 kills with a .409 hitting percentage. In the second set the Hawks maintained the pressure this time totaling nine kills before finally closing out the Bloodhounds in the third set where they smashed 11 kills.,

The Hawks attack was led by Benjamin Cassidy who tallied 10 kills and six digs. CUNYAC Player of the Week Brandon Kohler chipped in with seven kills, two solo blocks and a .357 hitting percentage.

Hunter 3 Medgar Evers 0 (25-6, 25-12, 25-13)

The Hawks dominated the Cougars right from the start led by 12 team kills in the first set victory. In the second set the Hawks only tallied three kills but used strong serving to close out the Cougars in the final two sets. As a team the Hawks totaled 19 aces, led by Kohler's team high six. Kohler also added seven kills and three combined blocks. Ben Crusinberry chipped in with five aces to go along with three kills.,

The Hawks return to action Wednesday February 11 when they will host CCNY at 6pm at the Hunter Sportsplex.
