BOX SCORE 2 New York, NY - Hunter College men's volleyball hosted a CUNYAC multi-match tournament this past weekend, going 2-0 with wins over Brooklyn College and College of Staten Island.
With the victories, the Hawks improve to 16-6 this season, while maintaining an undefeated conference record of 10-0.
Hunter started the day with a 3-0 win over Brooklyn, defeating the Hawks with scores of 25-9, 25-12 and 18-26.
Benjamin Crusinberry led the team with 13 kills, only committing three errors for a .417 hitting percentage.
Blake Hogan followed with eight kills, while
Nicolas Sanchez recorded 36 assists.
Joseph Muir led the Hawks with seven digs as the team hit .378 in the match and held the Bulldogs to a .133 hitting percentage.
The Hawks then won their tenth-straight league match, getting a victory over College of Staten Island in three sets, featuring scores of 25-15, 25-8 and 25-14.
Hunter was led by Crusinberry's eight kills in the match, followed by
Glen Lementut's seven. Sanchez led the team with 26 assists and seven digs. The team tallied a .319 hitting percentage while holding the Dolphins to just 13 kills in the match.
The Hawks will return to action on Thursday, March 7 when they host Lehman College at 6 p.m.
