Collegeville, Pa. - Hunter College wrestling finished up competition at the North South Duals on Saturday, hosted by Ursinus College.
Despite picking up some individual wins, the Hawks fell in three matches to Ursinus, Messiah College and Rhode Island College.
Usinus 53, Hunter 3
Junior
Nick Brutus recorded Hunter's only win in the match, defeating his opponent at 174 by a 7-1 decision.
Messiah 46, Hunter 3
William Heine picked up a 7-1 victory at 157 against Messiah opponent Tag Wilber for the Hawks' lone individual win in the match.
Rhode Island 40, Hunter 10
Freshman
John Sherlock tallied his first win of the day against Rhode Island by technical fall at 149. Heine followed that up with a pin against his opponent at 4:28 to record two victories on the day.
Brutus scored three points for the Hawks and went 2-1 on Saturday with a 12-2 decision against the Anchormen's Tim Caplan.
The team returns to action on Saturday, January 14 when they host a tri-match, beginning at noon.
