Kings Point, N.Y. - Hunter College wrestling went 0-4 on Saturday at the USMMA Duals, falling to Nassau, LIU Post, New York University and USMMA.
The Purple and Gold started the day with 47-6 loss to Nassau Community College as Eliot Natanov got the lone win by forfeit at 133 pounds to get the Hawks six points. Hunter was then shut out by LIU Post, 54-0.
Sean Miller defeated his NYU opponent by technical fall at 165, but the Hawks could not keep up with the Violets, who defeated Hunter with a score of 43-11.
In the last match of the day the Hawks got some points on the board as
John Sherlock posted a win at 141, defeating his USMMA opponent by fall at 1:16.
Ronaldo Rodriguez took down his opponent at 149 by 11-7 decision to help the Hawks trail by just three points.
Nick Brutus finished off the scoring for the Purple and Gold by getting a win at 174 with a close 9-8 decision as Hunter fell to the Mariners, 42-12.
The Hawks return to action on January 6 when compete at the North-South Dual, hosted by Ursinus College.
