BOX SCORE New York, NY - Hunter College men's volleyball won its eighth-straight match on Tuesday night by defeating the College of Staten Island in three sets at the Hunter Sportsplex.
The Purple and Gold improve to 13-2 this season while starting CUNYAC play 3-0.
The Hawks took the first set 25-11, starting the match by outscoring the Dolphins 13-3. The second game was closer with Hunter tying the score at eight before recording seven-straight points to pull ahead and get the eventual victory.
The Purple and Gold finished it off with another 25-11 win in the third as
Austen Rerick had three kills in the final five points to lead Hunter to a sweep over CSI.
Daniel Dobrogowski led the team with eight kills and four blocks, while
Matthew Zukowski followed with seven kills and four blocks in the match. Zukowski added a team-high eight digs in the victory as
Glen Lementut chipped in seven.
The Hawks return to action tomorrow when they travel to Kean University for a 7 p.m. match.
