Wrestling Falls to NYU, 41-12

Hawks Earn Two Victories

Brooklyn, N.Y. - Hunter College wrestling fell to New York University on Saturday morning at the Brooklyn Athletic Center, dropping the match with a score of 41-12.

The Hawks fell behind in the first match up the day, but pulled ahead 6-4 when Andrew Cota defeated his opponent by fall at the 133 weight class.

Hunter dropped the next four match ups, finally getting a victory when Gevorg Arakelov got a win by fall at 174 pounds to give the Hawks 12 points.

It would not be enough to stop the Violets, who closed out the last three matches to get the team victory.

The Purple and Gold return to action on January 23 when they travel to Keystone College for a 2 p.m. dual match.
