Hackettstown, NJ - The Hunter College wrestling team competed against the Centenary Cyclones earlier this afternoon in a dual meet. The Hawks managed just one victory over the 10 weight classes, resulting in a 49-6 defeat. The Hawks look to get back on track on Saturday, January 29 when they head to Worcester, MA for a tri-match against SUNY Brockport and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Diego Perez was the lone victory for the Purple and Gold after winning via forfeit in the 125 pound weight class.
Gevorg Arakelov put up a solid fight against Aidan Fernandez at 184 pounts but was ultimately edge by a score of 6-5. Reigne Pedane and Mohammed Khail lost by medical forfeit while
Jahongir Davronov was defeated by a major decision.
