Jersey City, NJ - The Hawks took on the Gothic Knights of NJCU on Friday. With a contingent of seven wrestlers competing, Hunter managed wins in just three weight classes as they fell by a score of 42-13.

Highlights for the Purple and Gold included Jahongir Davronov winning at 141 pounds over his challenger by way of a 4-3 decision to give his team their first points. Gevorg Arakelov added another four points to the team scoring after coming away with an 11-1 major decision over Jaydin Mahon at 184 pounds. Capping the meet was Hunter's standout wrestler, Jacob Raboy. The heavyweight defeated Jace Macfie by pinning him at the 1:07 mark to add six points to the team score.

The Hawks return to action on Saturday, February 19 for a match at Trinity College in Trinity Connecticut.
