BOX SCORE New York, N.Y. - The Hunter College men's volleyball team won its second straight CUNYAC contest against John Jay College on Thursday, taking a three set sweep inside the Hunter Sportsplex, 25-13, 25-17, 25-19.
Ted Kim led the offense for the second game in a row, tallying 13 kills with just two errors to finish with a .524 hitting percentage. Three other players each recorded five kills apiece for the home team, as the squad combined for eight team blocks, compared to John Jay's five.
The Hawks (6-6, 5-1 CUNYAC) held the Bloodhounds (4-6, 2-1 CUNYAC) to negative hitting percentages in the first and third sets, as the teams matched kills in the second, at nine each.
Set three featured six tie scores and two lead changes, with Hunter ultimately taking the win, 25-19.
The team is back in action on Saturday, Mar. 19 when they head to the City College of New York. Game time is set for noon.
