Scranton, PA - Hunter College's wrestling team traveled to The University of Scranton for a tri-meet on Saturday to take on the hosts, and King's College. Hunter dropped both matches in the team portion but both
Gevorg Arakelov and
Jacob Raboy went undefeated.
In the earlier match up vs King's College Arakelov grabbed three team points with an 11-8 decison over Conor Wrobleski from King's college in the 184 match up. In the 285 match up
Jacob Raboy took hom 6 points with a fall over Johnny Rivera from King's. The Hawks dropped the team match up 44-9.
In match #2 Hunter took on the hosts, and grabbed three individual wins. In the 149 pound match Jahongir Daronov grabbed 3 points with a 7-2 decision over Scranton's Kosta Mavrikidis for the first points for the Hawks. Gevorg Aravelov continued his impressive technique on the mat with a Tech fall at 4:04 for 5 team points in a win over Ryan Bihasa-Lenaham. Not to be outdone in the 285 match was
Jacob Raboy who took home a 2-0 decision for 3 team points, with his victory over Hunter Marham.
The Hawks return to action on Saturday when they compete against NYU and Trinity at BMCC's gym. First match is scheduled for 12pm
