New York, NY - Hunter College hosted The United States Merchant Marine Academy on senior night. Hunter was not able to secure a team win, but was able to celebrate four seniors who had their last home match in purple and gold.  Seniors Diego Perez, Jhongir Davronov, Gevorg Arakelov, and Jacob Raboy were celebrated for their contributions, dedication and sacrifices to the Wrestling program.

Diego Perez took home a win in the 125 match with a forfeit.  Hunter has been batteling a number of injuries and did not have a healthy wrestler for 3 weight classes, the 165, 174 and 184 all went to USMMA by forfeit.  Senior Jahongir Davronov went the distance with his opponent but was unable to gain enough points for a win and dropped an 8-3 decision.  Fellow senior Jacob Raboy also went the distance but was unable to overcome the points and dropped an 8-1 match in the 285 match up.

Gevorg Arakelov took home a 16-1 tech fall in the 184 pound class for the highlight of the night for the senior.

Hunter returns to action on February 12th when they travel to King's College
