Flushing, N.Y.- Solomon Kumi earned his first Rookie of the Week honors as the CUNYAC office announced men's track and field awards of the week on Tuesday.

At the King's College Monarch Open, Solomon Kumi posted a personal record in the triple jump with a leap of 11.28. The next day at the Yale Springtime Invitational, the rookie produced a mark of 1.75m in the high jump, ranked No. 2 among the conference this season.
