Flushing, N.Y- The Hunter College men's outdoor track and field team took third place in the CUNYAC Championships on Saturday afternoon.
The team accumulated 156 total points, trailing the second place team, CCNY (176) and Lehamn, who were repeat champions with 214 points.
In the 10,000m run, Hunter went 1-2 in the race, as
Hengzhi Zhu finished first in 37:38.56 while
Alexander Niyazov finished second, respectively, in 37:50.01.
Alexander Marquez of Hunter turned in the top senior college time in the 3,000m steeplechase with a mark of 11:45.04.
Robert Novo won gold in two events. He was the top runner in the 800m run (2:09.14) while producing the top senior college performance in the 1,500m race (4:23.14).
Hunter turned in a strong effort in the 5,000m run, finishing 1-2 in the race.
Brian Guillermo took gold with a time of 17:01.94, while Zhu took silver with a time of 17:20.25.
