Farmingdale, NY- The Hunter College Hawks were on the road this afternoon, facing the Farmingdale State Rams. The Hawks dropped their 3rd game of the season, losing 0-5.
The Hawks kept it a close during the 1st half, only allowing 1 goal. Mame Gor Diop made a shot attempt early on in the 1st half, but it was saved by the Ram's goalie. Matthew Heimowitz had a 81% save percentage making 21 saves out of the 26 shots on goal throughout the entire game.
Kristopher Lage had a dominating presence on the field throughout the game, controlling the midfield and setting up his teammates with high quality passes. The two teams went back and forth until the 72nd minute when the Rams scored their 2nd goal. The Rams proceeded to score 3 more times before the end of the 2nd half.
Hunter College falls to Farmingdale State 0-5. The Hawks recorded stands at 0-3 going into another midweek game against Mount Saint Vincent on the road in Riverdale, NY, this Thursday at 4 pm.
