New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's fencing team faced off against three opponents in MACFA A vs B this weekend in Drew University, Layfayette, Rutgers, and Cornell. The Hawks fell in each: Cornell 24-3, Lafayette 22-5, Drew 26-1, Rutgers 22-5.
The Hawks saw the most success in sabre, with six wins across all bouts.
Andy Gonzalez lead the team with four total wins as two came against Rutgers and one a each against Lafayette and Drew.
Nahuel Muhamad also picked ip a pair of wins, with one against Cornell and the other against Rutgers.
In foil,
Chris Lin picked up a pair of wins, with one over Cornell and the other against Lafayette, while
Pablo Greene also grabbed a pair, adding another against Lafayette and one against Rutgers.
David Xing was able to come away with a victory of his own in his third bout against Cornell.
At epee, Steven Zhu picked up two wins over Lafayette, while
Steven Zhang tallied one win against Rutgers.
The Hawks will face their next opponents at the Wagner Invitational on Dec. 1.
