Staten Island, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's indoor track and field team delivered an impressive performance at the Youree Spence Garcia Invitational, hosted by St. John's University at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Competing against strong fields, the Hawks posted several standout performances and secured top conference rankings across multiple events.

In the sprints, Becky Li led the way in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.42, finishing 25th overall and earning the top spot in the CUNYAC rankings. Teammates Jamie Risso (8.44) and Jimmanie Joseph (8.51) followed closely, ranking second and third in the conference, respectively. Li also excelled in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking in at 11.09 for 14th place overall and second in the conference, while Rubilyn Navarro was right behind her at 11.17, ranking third in CUNYAC.

The distance squad was paced by Shannon Ferri in the 3,000 meters, finishing 17th overall with a time of 12:00.49, securing the top conference ranking. Teammates Emma Peach Kilroy (12:38) and Samantha Suriel (12:41.9) claimed the second and third spots in the conference rankings, respectively.

In the 400 meters, Mikaelle Cesar posted a strong time of 1:04.98 to finish 12th overall and first in CUNYAC, with Salma El Bessaoui (1:14.68) and Melanie Liu (1:16.08) rounding out the top three conference spots.

Field events saw dominant performances from Hunter athletes. Jamie Risso shone in the long jump, recording a mark of 5.24 meters to secure 7th place overall and the top conference ranking. Becky Li (4.73m) and Tahlea Murray (4.46m) followed, earning second and third in the conference rankings. Risso also excelled in the triple jump with a 10.49-meter leap, finishing 12th overall and first in CUNYAC, with Murray (10.24m) and Navarro (9.56m) close behind.

In throws, Rawnaa Elshita represented the Hawks with a 6.86-meter effort in the weight throw, placing 18th overall and ranking fourth in the conference. She also threw 6.64 meters in the shot put, finishing 22nd and ranking fifth in CUNYAC.

The Hawks' well-rounded performance highlighted their depth and competitiveness as they continue to prepare for upcoming meets and the CUNYAC Championships.
