Flushing, N.Y.- The City University of New York Athletic Conference revealed its 2024 women's outdoor track and field post season awards on Monday afternoon with Head Coach, Marvin Hawkins, earned a major awards as the Coach of the Year.
Hunter placed 12 total student-athletes to the All-Star team, the most out of any school in the conference following their outstanding season. With Coach of the Year, Marvin Hawks in at the helm, the team earned its third consecutive championship title.
After earning several weekly awards this season and being named conference champion in the women's high jump,
Daria Niebrzydowski earned her spot as a CUNYAC All-Star. Another jumper, also receiving accolades with
Tahlea Murray for her efforts in the long and triple jump this season. In the field,
Nia Novotny, a one time rookie of the week selection, and
Karina Tan were recognized.
Becky Li,
Isabella Moseley, and Peta-Gay also were named All-Stars for their 4x100 relay success, while
Irving Jiang's stellar efforts in the steeplechase secured her slot.
On the track, four others earned All-Star slots in
Alyssa Abrahams,
Samantha Suriel,
Touka Medjoubi, and Rubilynn Navarro. Wendy Motiel also was selected to the Sportmanship team, bringing the Hawks' total number of honorees to 14.
