GALLOWAY, N.J. — The Hunter College men's outdoor track and field team opened its 2025 season this weekend at the Stockton University Invitational, turning in a strong showing across both track and field events.
Rookie Brian Arias led the way for the Hawks, placing first in the conference in the 800 meters with a time of 2:08.37. Arias also placed second among CUNYAC competitors in the 1500-meter race (4:28.06). Melvil Badier earned a conference-best mark in the 1500 meters (4:23.80) and later finished third in the 800 meters (2:13.00).
Solomon Kumi recorded a personal best in the 110-meter hurdles (17.34), placing 14th overall. He also competed in the triple jump, finishing 11th with a mark of 11.74 meters.
The Hawks return to action on Saturday, March 29, at the Big Heart Invitational hosted by St. John's University in Queens, N.Y.
