ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.- Shannon Ferri and
Mikaelle Cesar of the Hunter College women's cross country team continued to impress, each placing among the top 10 finishers at the Fred Pavlich Invitational hosted by Bard College.
Ferri once again led the Hawks, with a fourth place individual performance. She posted a new conference-best time in the women's 6k race, clocking in at 25:21.9. Cesar also had an impressive day, placing 9th, as she crossed the tape in 26:28.6.
Freshman,
Maria Gonzalez was the next best finisher for Hunter, with a time of 27:50.7, followed by
Emma Kilroy (29:26.4) and
Gabriela Miranda (32:33.8).
Katherin Cauatli clocked in at 33:34.7, in her first meet of the season. Also racing for the Purple and Gold was
Julisa Garcia Jimenez with a time of 34:45.1,
Rubilyn Navarro at 36:01.9 and
Salma El Bezzaoui (36.34.7). The final three finishers for the Hawks were
Evelyn Lopez (36.55.8),
Rawnaa Elshita (39.08.1), and
Krista Taylor (47:18.0).
Hunter returns to the course on Sept. 28 at the Queensborough Invitational at Van Cortland Park.
