STOCKTON, N.J. – The Hunter College women's outdoor track and field team continued its season this weekend at the Stockton Invitational.
Taelyn Murray led the Hawks in the field events, recording three conference-best marks in the shot put (10.06m), discus (36.41m) and triple jump (9.99m).
On the track, Shannon Ferri paced Hunter with a third-place finish in the 1500m, posting a conference-leading time of 5:09.21. Sophomore Mikaelle Cesar followed with an eighth-place finish in 5:17.3.
In the middle-distance events, Melanie Liu led the Hawks in the 800m with a time of 2:57.59, narrowly ahead of Ewa Ozgastasiewicz (2:57.76).
Hunter also saw three competitors in the 400m, led by Orianna Blackman (1:07.76) and Tiara Smith (1:12.61).
Taylor added a time of 34.43 in the 200m dash, while Katherine Kamvisios represented the Hawks in the 100m hurdles, finishing in 19.97.
The 4x100 relay team of Blackman, Murray, Leila Castill-Diaz and Kamvisios placed fourth overall with a time of 55.72 to close out the meet.
Hunter returns to the track on March 28 at the Big Hurt Invitational, hosted by St. John's.
