NEWBURGH, N.Y.- The Hunter College women's track and field team competed at the Mount Saint Mary College Knight Invite on Sunday, with senior Shannon Ferri placing first in the 1500m.

Ferri's win was the second-best time in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) current standings, at 17:17.59. Leila Nouri placed third in the event, as she crossed the tape in 5:40.42. Taelyn Murray also had a podium finish, with a conference-best mark, and personal best in the discus at 36.75m, placing second overall.

Orianna Blackman rounded out top-three finishes for the Hawks, as she placed third in the 200m dash in 28.86.

Hunter will continue its season at the Widener Invitational this Friday.
