Max Segan (New York, NY/Hunter) improved their season singles records to 9-1 and 7-0 in conference play to lead the Hawks to their seventh consecutive conference victory, defeating York College 9-0 in Jamaica, NY on Thursday.
After winning all three doubles matches, including Marrero improving his doubles record to 8-0 on the year, the Hawks took control of the match with six straight victories in singles play. Segan won first singles 6-0, 6-0 and the same went for Marrero at second singles. Junior
Gian Arceo won third singles 6-2, 6-0, while sophomore
Ian Katz wrapped up fourth singles 6-1, 6-0. Freshman

Nelson Deuz won their fifth and sixth singles matches 6-1, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-0 respectively.
Hunter will be back in action on Tuesday, April 14 when they take on the College of Staten Island in their final conference match of the year. That match will take place at the College of Staten Island with a start time of 3:30 p.m.
