Four Hawks Earn CUNYAC All-Conference Men's Tennis Honors

FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Hunter College men's tennis team was well represented when the City University of New York Athletic Conference announced its 2026 postseason awards Wednesday morning, as four Hawks earned All-Conference recognition following strong performances throughout conference play.

Freshman Nicholas Cooper headlined the group as Hunter's lone First Team All-Conference selection. Cooper made an immediate impact in his debut season, compiling a 4-1 doubles record and a 3-2 singles mark against CUNYAC opponents.

Hunter also dominated the Second Team All-Conference selections, claiming half of the available spots with Odin Dibra, Savio Francis, and Alexander Hagiu all earning recognition.

Another standout freshman, Dibra posted a 4-2 doubles record while excelling in singles play with a 5-1 conference mark. Francis, a sophomore, matched that 5-1 singles record and added a 3-2 doubles performance during league competition.

Junior Alexander Hagiu rounded out the Hawks' All-Conference selections after finishing 4-2 in doubles play and 5-1 in singles action against conference opponents.

Hunter's success was also reflected in the conference's Sportsmanship Team, where sophomore Jason Parmar earned recognition for his competitive nature and conduct throughout the season.
