Poughkeepsie, NY- On Sunday, November 14th, the women's fencing team travelled to Poughkeepsie, NY to compete in the Vassar Invitational. The invitational included teams from Sacred Hear, Vassar, Welesley, and West Point. The day turned out to be rough as the Hawks fell in all four meets.
Huang Yuan was successful in winning two of her bouts in Sabre versus Vassar. The Hawks had an exciting competition against West Point but eventually fell 18-9. Nina Hso won two of her bouts along with Wendy Mak in Epee. In foil, Irene Yenko was successful in all three of her bouts. Ariel Edelheit was victorious in two of her Sabre bouts.
The Hawks are back in action on Friday, December 3 when they host Army during Homecoming.
