Brooklyn, New York- On Tuesday, March 22^nd, the men's tennis team took take on the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College in their second conference match of the season. The men were victorious as they easily defeated their opponents 8-1 and advancing their record to 2-0 while Brooklyn falls to 0-4.

Playing first doubles, the duo of sophomores Yevgeny Perepelov and Arthur Kapetanakis gave the Hawks their first victory with a score of 8-4. Senior Thomas Lin and junior Mark Goldfinger enjoyed a quick 8-1 win at second doubles while at third doubles, new comers Robert Frischling-Sosman and Wildredo Garcia played a tight match, eventually coming out on top and winning in the tiebreaker 9-8 (8-6). 

Kapetanakis went on to play first singles and after dropping the second set defeated Anthony Chan in the third set super tiebreaker 6-2, 6-7 (7) 10-4. Goldfinger played in the third slot, being the first off the court with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Frischling-Sosman and Garcia played fourth and fifth singles respectively, both clinching their matches in third set super tiebreakers 10-4. Freshman Stanley Tsoy played in the sixth spot grabbing a 6-4, 6-1 win over his opponent.

The Hawks are back in action Monday, March 29^th where they host City Tech at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens.
