Brooklyn, New York- On Tuesday, March 22
nd, the men's tennis team took take on the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College in their second conference match of the season. The men were victorious as they easily defeated their opponents 8-1 and advancing their record to 2-0 while Brooklyn falls to 0-4.
Playing first doubles, the duo of sophomores

Arthur Kapetanakis gave the Hawks their first victory with a score of 8-4. Senior

Mark Goldfinger enjoyed a quick 8-1 win at second doubles while at third doubles, new comers
Robert Frischling-Sosman and Wildredo Garcia played a tight match, eventually coming out on top and winning in the tiebreaker 9-8 (8-6).
Kapetanakis went on to play first singles and after dropping the second set defeated Anthony Chan in the third set super tiebreaker 6-2, 6-7 (7) 10-4. Goldfinger played in the third slot, being the first off the court with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Frischling-Sosman and Garcia played fourth and fifth singles respectively, both clinching their matches in third set super tiebreakers 10-4. Freshman Stanley Tsoy played in the sixth spot grabbing a 6-4, 6-1 win over his opponent.
The Hawks are back in action Monday, March 29
th where they host City Tech at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens.
