Staten Island, N.Y. -Earlier this afternoon, the men's tennis team opened up their 2013 spring season against the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island in a CUNYAC Conference contest. After falling in all three doubles matches, the Hawks were dispatched in first through sixth singles and suffered a 9-0 loss.

The duo of David Joseph and Daniel Rabinovich came closest to their CSI counterparts at second doubles, 8-4 while Damen Ellinson and Binh Luu dropped first doubles 8-2. Kevin Wang and Paul Saint-Donat were taken down as well by a score of 8-3.

At first singles, Joseph forced three sets against Nicholas Zikos, but ultimately fell 10-7 in the deciding set. Ellingson and Rabinovich also came close to forcing a third, but both dropped 7-6 second set decisions while Saint-Donat, Luu and Kevin Wang went down in order.

The Hawks return to aciton on Friday afternoon when they host Penn State-Abington at the USTA at 3:30 pm.
