Hawks Fall 9-0 to Baruch in Season Finale

RESULTS

The Hunter men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to Baruch College on Friday, April 19th at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY. The Hawks fall to a record of 4-3 in the CUNYAC conference but clinch the #3 seed.
 
In doubles competition, Baruch's No. 1 team defeated David Joseph and Damen Ellingson 8-2, while Daniel Rabinovich and Paul Saint-Donat went down 8-1 at No. 2 doubles, and Kevin Wang and Bilal Naeem were shutout 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
 
The Hawks lost all six singles matches, including a thriller between David Joseph at No. 1 singles and Danil Ovechkin. Hunter's David Joseph lost the match 7-6 (9-7 tie-breaker) and 6-4.
Hunter falls to 5-7 overall and 4-3 in the CUNYAC conference. The Hawks will begin their run at the 2013 CUNYAC Men's Tennis Championship on Friday, April 26th as the #3 seed. Hunter will host the # 5 seeded York College at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY at 3:30 p.m.
