WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Hunter Hawks wrestling team went 3-1 at this weekends NY/PA Challenge Duals, getting victories against Kings, Scranton and Elizabethtown. The Hawks only loss came at the hands of Wilkes University by a narrow 22-17 score.
"I am very proud of the focus and work ethic that these young men brought to the table," said head coach
Chris Mazzatta. "They are coming together as a team and working towards a common goal of constant improvement."
The Hawks had many notable performances including six wrestlers going undefeated,

Jesse Bader (4-0),
Miguel Ponce (4-0),
Dennis Melendez (4-0) and
Patryk Kopczynski (4-0).
"There is a lot of excitement within the program right now and the coaching staff can't wait to see the wrestlers perform throughout the season," said coach Mazzatta.
