Hawks Split Against Lehman and Juniata

The Hunter men's tennis team split this afternoon against Lehman College and Juniata College. In the first match against the Lehman, the Hawks won 8-1 and lost the second match to Juniata 6-3. 

Against the Lightning, the Hawks started off with a 3-0 sweep in the doubles competition. No. 1 doubles Gonzalo Saez-Garcia and Michael Kuznetsov defeated their opponents 8-2, no. 2 doubles pair of David Joseph and Daniel Rabinovich also defeated their opponents 8-2. In the no. 3 doubles matchup, Rudy Saint-Louis and Matthew Balilo won their match 8-0.

In singles, the Hawks went 5-1, getting wins from no. 1 singles Saez-Garcia, no. 3 singles Kuznetsov, no.4 singles Roman Omelchenko, no. 5 singles Saint-Louis and no. 6 singles Bilal Naeem.

Against the Eagles, the Hawks lost the doubles competition 2-1, getting the lone victory from no. 2 pair of Joseph and Rabinovich who won their match 8-3.

In singles the Hawks earned two victories in the no. 3 singles and no. 6 singles from Joseph and Rabinovich. 

The Hawks return to action Tuesday when they travel to Newark to take on Rutgers-Newark at 4pm.
