Jamaica, NY – The Hunter men's tennis team swept York College 9-0 in a CUNYAC Men's Tennis match on Wednesday afternoon.
 
In the singles competition no. 1 singles Matthew Balilo defeated Haseeb Raza, 6-0, 6-1, and no. 2 singles Carlos Saavedra defeated Hasain Khatri, 6-1, 6-1. No. 5 singles Yogi Sandasse and no. 6 singles Rudy Saint-Louis both won their match's 6-0, 6-0.
 
The no. 3 singles match was the most competitive of the afternoon with Michael Kuznetsov outlasting Jay Pal 7-6, 7-5. No. 4 singles Daniel Rabinovich won his match with Ruel Quamina 6-1, 6-0.
 
The Hawks, with Balilo and Sandasse winning 8-1, Saint-Louis and Saavedra winning 8-0 and Rabinovich and Kuznetsov winning 8-0, easily won the doubles competition.
 
The Hawks improve to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in CUNYAC play. They return to the court Friday night when they take on CCNY.
