HOBOKEN, NJ - The Hunter men's fencing team went 1-4 at the MACFA "B" group round robin event held at Stevens Tech on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks defeated TCNJ 15-12 for their only victory of the day, the Hawks lost 15-12 to Yeshiva, 21-6 to Army, 22-5 to NJIT and 27-0 to Stevens Tech.

Against Yeshiva, the Hawks three epee performers, Anthony Musto, Dylan Nelson-Epstein and James Ferraiolo all went 3-0. In foil, Alkaya Massaly went 2-1 earning two of the three Hawk points.

In the matchup against Army, the trio of Hawks in eppe all went 2-1, leading the Hawks to their only weapon victory. Massaly also went 2-1 in the foil competition.

Harold Bartolome was the lone bright spot for the Hawks against NJIT as he went 2-1 in foil.

In the Hawks victory over TCNJ, Musto and Nelson-Epstein both went 3-0 while Ferraiolo went 2-1 in epee. The Hawks got a hard fought 5-4 victory in foil.

The Hawks return to action Sunday February 15 as they will participate in another MACFA event on the campus of TCNJ.
