MADISON, N.J. — The Hunter College men's fencing team continued its season Sunday, competing at the MACFA A vs. B event hosted by Drew University.
The Hawks faced a challenging slate, dropping all four dual meets against Drew, Cornell, Lafayette and Rutgers. Despite the results, Hunter saw several strong individual efforts throughout the day.
David Xing led the Hawks in foil with four bout victories, while Pablo Green and Steven Zhu each added two wins. Freshman
Melvin Velasquez also notched the first victory of his collegiate career.
The Hawks will look to bounce back this weekend when they return to the same venue for the MACFA B vs. C event.
