QUEENS VILLAGE, NY - The Hunter men's tennis team continued their strong play in CUNYAC play defeating conference foe Brooklyn College 9-0. The win improves the Hawks to 7-3 overall and 5-1 in CUNYAC play.

The Hawks started off the doubles competition taking all three matchups with ease, winning #1 doubles 8-1, #2 doubles 8-3 and #3 doubles 8-4.

In the singles matchups, #1 singles player and two-time reigning CUNYAC & ECAC Player of the Week Gonzalo Saez Garcia extended his CUNYAC singles unbeaten streak to 15 matches, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. CUNYAC Rookie of the Week Carlos Sala won his sixth consecutive CUNYAC singles match winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. The #4 singles match was the next to finish with Matthew Balilo winning 6-2, 6-0, followed by #6 singles Jay Pal winning 6-4, 6-2. #3 singles Florimond Le Goupil-Maier won his matchup 6-2, 6-2 and then #5 singles Rodolfo Reynoso finished off the match winning 6-1, 6-4 to give the Hawks a 9-0 victory.
