MIDDLEBURY, VT - The Hunter Hawks men's tennis season came to an end on Friday afternoon with a 5-0 loss to MIT in the 1
st Round of the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament.
The Hawks fell behind early in the doubles competition dropping the no. 3 matchup 8-2. On court 2, the no. 2 pairing of
Florimond Le Goupil-Maier and
Matthew Balilo fought hard but were unable to comeback from an early deficit, as they fell 8-5. In the no. 1 doubles matchup,
Gonzalo Saez Garcia and
Carlos Sala also fell behind early and were unable to rally, as they fell 8-4.

In the singles competition, the Engineers took their fourth victory at no. 6 singles with a straight set victory 6-0, 6-0 and compeled the sweep with another straight set victory at no. 5 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
In the no. 1 matchup, CUNYAC Player of the Year Saez Garcia was the lone Hawk ahead when the match was completed, he was leading the Engineers no. 1 player 6-3, 1-2.
