Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - Hunter College women's fencing went 1-6 at the Vassar Invitational this past weekend, getting one team win over Yeshiva University with a score of 16-11.
Sarah Russo and Michelle Rangel led the Purple and Gold, each getting 12 wins on the day. Rangel went 3-0 against Queens and Yeshiva in the saber, while Russo went undefeated in the matches against Haverford and Yeshiva in the epee.
Jessica Hall also posted a solid day, recording eight wins and just five losses in the invite.
The team returns to action on December 1 when they host Army at 7 p.m.
