New York, NY - Hunter College men's tennis got its first win of the season on Tuesday afternoon with the defeat of John Jay College with a score of 9-0.
The Hawks improve to 1-1 overall and start CUNYAC play 1-0.
Florimond Le Goupil Maier and Nasser Ghaffer started off doubles competition with a 8-4 win over their Bloodhound opponents, before the duo of
David Joseph and
Joel Cantila took the match at the no. 2 court.
Hamza Sadhra and
Filip Koritysskiy rounded out the doubles wins for Hunter.
The Purple and Gold swept the competition in singles play, led by Le Goupil Maier's victory at no. 1 singles.
The team returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Lehman for a 1 pm. match.
