Mahwah, NJ - Hunter College men's tennis fell in a close match on Tuesday night to Ramapo College at the USTA National Tennis Center with a score of 5-4.
The Hawks are now 3-5 overall with their three wins coming from CUNYAC play this season.
The Purple and Gold fell behind in double competition, winning one of the three matches as the duo of
Joel Cantila and
David Joseph defeated their Roadrunner opponents at the no. 2 court with a score of 8-4.
Singles play kept the Hawks close when Nasser Ghaffer got a victory at no. 2 singles.
David Joseph and
Filip Koritysskiy pulled out wins at no. 4 and no. 5, respectively, but the Roadrunners managed to stay in control to get the 5-4 match victory.
The Hawks return to action on Wednesday when they host Brooklyn College at 12:30 p.m.
