BOX SCORE New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's tennis won its third-straight match on Monday morning, getting a win over the College of Staten Island with a score of 8-1 at Alley Pond Tennis Center.
The Hawks improved to 3-0 this season and are now 2-0 in CUNYAC play.
Sean Kemp and
Joel Cantila got a win in doubles at the no. 1 court, while
Nasser Ghaffar and Florimond Le Goupil Maier won their match to put the Hawks up 2-1 going into singles.
From there the Hawks swept the competition as Kemp took down his opponent at no. 1 singles with a scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
Filip Koritysskiy fell in the first set at the no. 6 court before tying the match in the second. In the tie breaker set, Koritysskiy got the win, defeating his Dolphin opponent with a score of 10-7.
The Purple and Gold return to the court on Friday, April when they face John Jay College before traveling to Farmingdale State.
