BOX SCORE Farmingdale, N.Y.- In a challenging match-up at Farmingdale State College, the Hunter College men's tennis team faced a 9-0 loss on Monday afternoon.
The doubles matches set a difficult tone to start for the Hawks, with Farmingdale's pairs showcasing exceptional teamwork and skill. Despite valiant efforts from Anil Singh and Raymond Leu, Alexander Hagiu and Tyler Wood, as well as Ali Elshehawey and Sandro Schwyzer, the Hawks were unable to secure victories in any of the doubles matches, conceding all three to the Farmingdale opponents.
Moving into singles play, the Hawks continued to face tough opposition. Despite their determination and effort, the Farmingdale players proved too strong, securing victories across all six singles matches. Alexander Hagiu, Anil Singh, Raymond Leu, Ali Elshehawey, Tyler Wood, and Sandro Schwyzer fought hard but ultimately fell short against their skilled opponents.
Although the outcome wasn't in favor of the Hawks, the team looks to grab its first win on April 10 against Brooklyn College. First serve is slated for 3:30 p.m.
