Hunter College Athletics

A two-sport man during his undergraduate days, Di Gennaro co-captained varsity baseball and was co-captain of the basketball team. Joe coached track and field as well as basketball at the Bronx campus. His basketball team won the Knickerbocker Conference and had several outstanding seasons. He taught at the Bronx campus since 1962 and at the time of his induction was the Chair of the Health and Physical Education Department at Lehman College.
