Hunter College Athletics

Sullivan set the standard for which runners will be judged in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track at Hunter College. He earned cross country All- American honors twice and was a two-time ECAC cross country champion. Sullivan was just as prolific on the track circuit, earning All- American status both indoors and outdoors at 5,000m. In 1988, he became the first athlete in Hunter history to win a NCAA national championship, capturing the outdoor 5,000m. In addition, he held four indoor track and six outdoor track records at the time of his induction.
