Hunter College Athletics

In her era, Gilhooly was one of the trailblazers in women’s athletics at Hunter College. A three sport athlete, she competed on the varsity basketball team for three years, played goalie on the field hockey team and was a varsity tennis player. Her peers and teammates describe her as “one of the best ever.” While an undergraduate, she was named president of the Mabel H. Taylor Club.
