Hunter College Athletics

Mary Jean Erario played on the varsity basketball, softball, tennis and fencing teams. She won the Mabel H. Taylor Award. She initiated the entire women’s athletic program at Queensborough Community College. She was instrumental in the struggle for Title IX, and was the first president of AIAW, Junior College Division.
