A pioneer in the Hunter Sport Information Office, Morabito’s initial role with the Athletic Department was as student manager of the basketball and baseball teams from 1970-73. Upon graduation, he remained a part of Hunter Athletics, becoming the school’s second Sports Information Director. During his tenure as SID, he secured mainstream publicity for the program which led to a notable increase in the awareness of Hunter Athletics throughout the college and city. Morabito continued in the communications field and served as the Director of Public Relations, and later the Director of Team Travel, for the Oakland A’s.
